Jakarta, April 15, 2025 – PT Sumbawa Timur Mining (STM) has introduced a new logo as part of the company’s ongoing growth and development. This new identity reflects the spirit and resilience of the company as it continues to advance in copper exploration, supported by responsible and effective innovation. A new chapter has begun in STM’s journey to become a world-class copper mining company.
The new logo consists of three core elements: balance, mountain, and mining. The balance element symbolizes the company’s dedication to maintaining harmony between environmental conservation and human needs. The mountain represents the vast and valuable natural resources. The mining element conveys STM’s expertise in extracting mineral content and its contribution to the global supply chain.
STM’s Principal Communications Officer, Cindy Elza, stated that the new identity strengthens the company’s commitment to the development of the Hu’u Project. “We are affirming our presence as a company that aims to deliver long-term value to all stakeholders through a clear vision based on sustainability, responsibility, and inclusivity,” she said.
Cindy also emphasized that the company’s vision, mission, and core values remain unchanged despite the new logo. “We continue to aspire to become a world-class copper company powered by renewable energy. Our core values also remain the same. We uphold safety, trust, integrity, supportiveness, and strong communication and coordination. We are a trusted partner, always striving to bring maximum benefits to communities and the environment,” she added.
The logo refresh energizes STM’s commitment to the success of the Hu’u Project. The company is currently moving beyond the pre-feasibility phase and continues to conduct in-depth studies to ensure the mineral resources can be mined safely and optimally. According to the company’s second public announcement in 2022 on the estimated resources of the Onto Deposit, the total resources are estimated at 2.1 billion tonnes, with each tonne containing 0.86% copper (Cu) and 0.48 grams of gold (Au).

PT Sumbawa Timur Mining (STM) is a joint venture between Eastern Star Resources Pty Ltd (80%), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vale Base Metals, and PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (20%). STM owns the Hu’u Project, a copper exploration project operating under the 7th Generation Mineral Contract of Work (CoW) in Hu’u District, Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia.
