Dompu, August 9, 2025 — The Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) of Dompu Regency, supported by PT Sumbawa Timur Mining (STM), held the PWI Cup 2025 futsal tournament on August 9–10. This inter-media tournament was organized to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. A total of 10 local media outlets competed to win the tournament, which took place at the STKIP YAPIS Dompu futsal court.
In this tournament, STM not only acted as a sponsor but also enlivened the event by participating in a friendly match against PWI Dompu. STM’s players consisted of representatives from the Community Relations team working on the Hu’u Project. The event was also attended by representatives from journalist organizations, press companies, and local government, demonstrating synergy in sports development in Dompu Regency.
Dompu Deputy Regent, Syirajuddin, expressed appreciation for the organization of the PWI Cup 2025. “On behalf of the Dompu Regency Government, we thank all parties, especially STM, for their support in making this tournament possible,” he said during his opening remarks at the tournament.
Meanwhile, Acting Assistant I of the Dompu Regional Secretariat, H. Khairul Insan, who represented the Regent of Dompu at the tournament’s closing ceremony, stated that this collaboration reflects the company’s openness to the public and government. “On behalf of the regional government, we express our appreciation and gratitude for STM’s ongoing support. We hope this good cooperation can be maintained and continued in the future,” he said.
Media Amanat emerged as the champion of the tournament after defeating Koran Pagi Dompu in the final match, while Tambora Post and Suara Nusantara shared third place. The Chairman of PWI Dompu Regency, Drs. Muhyiddin, thanked all parties who supported the success of the tournament.
“Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the PWI Cup 2025. This event is not just a sports activity, but also a moment of camaraderie. Congratulations to the champions, and don’t be discouraged for those who didn’t win. Let’s keep practicing and look forward to the next tournament,” he said.
