STM Holds Blood Donation at Hu’u Site to Commemorate National OHS Month 2026

Dompu, 29 January 2026 — PT Sumbawa Timur Mining (STM), an exploration mining company holding the 7th Generation Contract of Work, held a blood donation event in observance of the 2026 National Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) Month. The activity took place at the Hu’u Site, Dompu Regency, on Thursday (29/1), in collaboration with the Blood Transfusion Unit of Dompu Regional Hospital and Rasabou Community Health Center. A total of 83 blood bags were collected from this event.

Blood donation is an annual routine agenda for STM conducted every National OHS Month. STM employees and partner contractors participated in this humanitarian event. Before donating blood, prospective donors underwent registration and an initial health screening. The blood collected from donors was then taken to Dompu Regional Hospital for further screening before being declared safe for use by those in need.

Head of Rasabou Community Health Center, Sitti Akmal, appreciated STM’s initiative in supporting the availability of blood stock in Dompu Regency. She noted that Dompu Regional Hospital now offers dialysis services, which increases the need for an adequate blood supply. “Thank you for being part of the humanitarian heroes. The donated blood will be very beneficial for patients in need,” she said.

STM’s Head of Mining Engineering (KTT), Yan Fuadi, expressed gratitude for the support of all volunteers and medical personnel involved in the blood donation activity. “Blood donation is a very positive action. Our blood will be used for people who need it. I appreciate colleagues from STM and the contractors who participated in this event,” he said, adding that he also donated blood.

STM Senior Community Relations Analyst, Vovia Witni, said she was grateful to participate in the blood donation. This was her second time taking part. “There is always some anxiety, but I am grateful this time it was successful,” she said, noting that she had previously failed to donate on several occasions.

This year’s blood donation activity was successful, even surpassing last year’s collection of 63 bags. In addition to the blood drive, STM also carried out various other activities during National OHS Month 2026, such as health seminars, Safety Goes to School, light-vehicle daily inspection and checking competitions (P2H), a K3 Twibbon contest, and more. STM uses National OHS Month as a momentum to strengthen safety procedures and increase mutual care.
