Dompu, December 12, 2025 — The Village Participation Program (PPD) of PT Sumbawa Timur Mining (STM) for 2025 has been completed, marked by a handover ceremony from STM to the Government of Dompu Regency. The program, carried out in 8 villages in Hu’u District and 4 villages in Pajo District, aims to strengthen community empowerment and development, particularly in the fields of health, education, and economy. This year, the budget allocation for PPD implementation reached approximately Rp1.26 billion.
PPD represents STM’s active participation in supporting the work plan of the Dompu Regency Government, the Village Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMDes), and the Village Government Work Plan (RKPDes). Priority program proposals included in PPD were determined through village deliberations. Once proposals were approved by STM management, implementation was carried out by Community Empowerment Cadres (KPMD) in Hu’u District and Village Implementation Committees (KPD) in Pajo District.
This year’s PPD handover ceremony took place at the Hu’u Police Field on Friday (12/12). Acting Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Dompu, H. Khairul Insan, SE., MM., attended on behalf of the Regent of Dompu. Also present were the Chairman of the Dompu Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), Ir. Muttakun, members of the Hu’u District Leadership Council (Muspika), village heads, and local residents. Meanwhile, STM management was represented by Community Relations Manager, Ulya Defretes, along with the involved team.
Acting Regional Secretary of Dompu, H. Khairul Insan, SE., MM., stated that PPD is tangible proof of the shared commitment between the government and STM in realizing a Dompu community that is advanced, prosperous, religious, just, and cultured. “On behalf of the Dompu Regency Government, we express our appreciation. Thank you for STM’s concern for the people of Dompu Regency, especially those in the project’s surrounding areas,” he said.

He added that STM is not only present to invest, but also provides a social touch through community development programs. According to him, this initiative must be supported by both the government and the community so that investment can run well and contribute more broadly. “This assistance (PPD) must be utilized and empowered. Village heads, please ensure that this assistance is truly used responsibly,” he emphasized.
STM Community Relations Manager, Ulya Defretes, said that the 2025 PPD was successfully implemented thanks to the support of the government and the community. She also expressed hope that this positive collaboration would continue to create greater benefits in the future. “Alhamdulillah, we continue striving to contribute and actively participate in regional development, so that STM and the community can continue to grow and develop together,” she said.
Hu’u Village is one of the villages receiving PPD assistance from STM. The Head of Hu’u Village, Mujahidin, S.Sos., stated that the benefits of PPD were directly felt by residents. Programs agreed upon in the village for the 2025 PPD included the construction of Wastewater Disposal Channels (SPAL), clean water drilling, improvement of basic education facilities and infrastructure, procurement of agricultural spraying machines, and several other initiatives. “This program has been truly extraordinary in its benefits. The activities carried out were the result of community deliberations based on the allocated budget,” he explained.
Since 2017, PPD has been part of STM’s integrated community development program in Dompu Regency. Due to its value and impact, PPD successfully won the 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Village Development (CSR & PDB) Silver Award from the Indonesian Social Sustainability Forum (ISSF), in collaboration with the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions. In addition, PPD also received the 2025 Top CSR Awards, 4-Star category, from Top Business, for its contribution to social development in Dompu Regency.
